Couchbase Labs ported Apache CouchDB to iOS and worked with Apple to get it approved for the App Store. CouchDB on iOS allows you to build both native and web applications that have built in synchronization features. Syncing between devices, devices and desktop machines as well as the cloud are possible, as CouchDB does all the heavy lifting for you. This allows you to build user experiences that do not depend on a constant mobile data connection, freeing yourself and users from pain in “No Bars” land.
